Your privacy matters, even in community features.
Default Privacy
By default:
- Your real name isn't shown (display name only)
- Your actual activity data isn't shared
- Your location isn't revealed
- Only what you explicitly share is visible
Privacy Settings
Control your visibility in Profile > Privacy > Community:
- Who can see your profile
- Whether you appear in member lists
- Who can message you
- What's visible on your profile
What's Never Shared
Regardless of settings:
- Your email address
- Payment information
- Health data from connected apps
- Activity you haven't chosen to share
Visibility Levels
Private: Nobody sees you in community features
Connections Only: Only mutual connections see you
Community Members: Visible to logged-in users
Public: Visible to anyone (web profiles only)
Adjusting Over Time
Change settings anytime:
- Start private, open up later
- Close down if you want
- Settings take effect immediately
Deleting Community Presence
Want to remove yourself entirely?
- Delete community profile
- Past posts can be removed
- Retain your personal RiseWell account
