Workouts for Beginners

Start your fitness journey safely

New to exercise? These workouts are designed specifically for you.

What Makes a Workout "Beginner-Friendly"

Our beginner workouts feature:

  • Clear instruction for every movement
  • Slower pace with rest breaks
  • Modifications for every exercise
  • Lower impact on joints
  • Shorter duration (10-20 minutes)

Where to Start

Look for the "Beginner" tag or browse the First Steps Fitness collection:

1. "Your First Workout" (10 min) - Basic movements explained

2. "Gentle Full Body" (15 min) - Introduction to strength

3. "Easy Cardio Start" (12 min) - Get moving without overwhelm

4. "Beginner Stretching" (10 min) - Flexibility basics

Tips for Starting Out

  • Modify freely: Every exercise has easier versions—use them
  • Rest when needed: Pause the video anytime
  • Focus on form: Doing it right matters more than doing it fast
  • Start with 2-3 days per week: Recovery is part of fitness
  • Expect some soreness: Mild muscle soreness is normal; sharp pain isn't

Progressing Over Time

RiseWell notices as you get stronger. We'll gradually suggest:

  • Slightly longer workouts
  • Medium-intensity options
  • New exercise types

But only when you're ready—and you can always dial back.
