Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds security beyond your password.
How 2FA Works
After entering your password, you'll also need:
- A code from an authenticator app, or
- A code sent to your phone
Even if someone gets your password, they can't access your account without the second factor.
Setting Up 2FA
1. Go to Profile > Security
2. Tap Two-Factor Authentication
3. Choose method (authenticator app recommended)
4. Follow setup instructions
5. Save backup codes somewhere safe
Authenticator App Setup
Works with:
- Google Authenticator
- Authy
- 1Password
- Other TOTP apps
Scan the QR code we provide, then enter the verification code to confirm.
Backup Codes
When you enable 2FA, save your backup codes:
- Use these if you lose your phone
- Each code works once
- Store securely (not on your phone)
Disabling 2FA
1. Profile > Security > Two-Factor Authentication
2. Enter your password
3. Confirm disable
4. 2FA is removed
