Connecting Apple Health

Sync workouts, steps, and sleep data

Connecting Apple Health gives RiseWell a fuller picture of your wellness without you having to log everything manually.

What We Can Access

With your permission, RiseWell can read:

  • Workouts: Exercise you log elsewhere automatically counts toward your movement goals
  • Steps: Daily step counts help us understand your activity level
  • Sleep: Sleep data helps us suggest better wind-down times
  • Mindful Minutes: Meditation from other apps gets recognized

We never write to your Apple Health data without explicit permission.

How to Connect

1. Go to Profile > Connected Apps > Apple Health

2. Tap Connect

3. iOS will show you exactly what data we're requesting

4. Toggle on the categories you want to share

5. Tap Allow

Why Connect?

More accurate personalization: If you went for a run this morning using another app, RiseWell knows and adjusts your daily plan accordingly.

Less manual logging: No need to tell us about workouts you've already tracked elsewhere.

Better insights: Sleep patterns, activity levels, and wellness trends all in one place.

Privacy First

  • We only access data you explicitly approve
  • Your health data is encrypted and never sold
  • You can disconnect at any time in Settings
  • Disconnecting removes our access immediately

Troubleshooting

Not seeing your data sync? Check that:

1. Apple Health permissions are enabled in iOS Settings > Privacy > Health > RiseWell

2. The specific data types are toggled on

3. You have recent data in Apple Health to sync

Data typically syncs within a few minutes of being recorded.
