Setting Up Smart Reminders

Configure gentle nudges that work with your schedule

Reminders can be helpful—or annoying. We aim for helpful.

How RiseWell Reminders Work

Our reminders are designed to be gentle nudges, not guilt trips. They're based on:

  • The schedule you provided during setup
  • Your actual usage patterns
  • Times when you're most likely to engage

Setting Up Your Reminders

Go to Profile > Notification Preferences to customize:

Activity Reminders: Get a heads-up when it's a good time for your planned activities. You can set specific times or let us suggest based on your patterns.

Hydration Reminders: Periodic water check-ins throughout the day. Adjust frequency from "occasional" to "I need constant reminding."

Weekly Summary: A once-a-week recap of your wellness activity. No judgment, just information.

Customization Options

  • Quiet Hours: Set times when you don't want any notifications (like during work meetings or sleep)
  • Weekend Mode: Different reminder schedule for weekends
  • Gentle Mode: Reduces frequency if you've been skipping reminders (we take the hint)

The Anti-Guilt Approach

Here's what you won't get from us:

  • "You haven't meditated in 3 days!" messages
  • Sad-face emojis when you skip activities
  • Multiple reminders for the same thing

If you dismiss a reminder, we assume you had a reason. No follow-up nagging.

Finding Your Balance

Some people love frequent check-ins. Others prefer minimal notifications. There's no right answer—experiment until you find what motivates without overwhelming you.

You can always adjust these settings. We'd rather you turn reminders off entirely than have them become a source of stress.
